Fantastic Results at Birmingham Regatta

Great Marlow School Boat Club (GMSBC) took a squad of Year 9, 10 and 11 crews to Birmingham Regatta and won six of the seven events.

The day started with the Boys Year 9 Octople, which included a guest appearance from Sophie Denson. They dominated their event taking the Gold medal comfortably. The J16 boys followed in similar style to end up, after three rounds of racing, against each other in the final of the Double Sculls. So the top two positions Gold and Silver were won by GMS: Henry Grant and Mohan Bains took the  Gold on this occasion; Will Cunningham and Sam Money the Silver medal.

The afternoon division brought victory to the Year 9 Boys’ Quad, the Year 10 Girls’ Four and the Year 11 Boys’ Four. To finish the day in style, Laura Cook and Megan Cheney rowed away from their opposition to win the final in the Double Scull event.
