Trips at GMS

GMS believes in trips. Below is a round-up of the upcoming trips. We thank all the staff involved, for their hard work and dedication.

• Friday 19th & Saturday 20th April 2024 – Bronze DofE Award Group A will embark on their practice expedition.

 

• 15th May 2014 – BMX and Skateboarding taster session for beginners. This non-compulsory trip will take place at Aston Clinton Park between 12 pm and 3:15 pm.

 

• Wednesday 5th June 2014 – England Hockey has selected GMS students to be involved in a Ball Patrol team for two upcoming International Pro League fixtures. The fixtures are Great Britain vs China (W) and Great Britain vs Spain (M) at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. The lucky students to be selected are those who have been committed to extra-curricular hockey throughout this year.

 

• Monday 17th June 2024 – Year 12 students are invited to attend a UCAS Discovery Day at the University of Bedfordshire, Luton. The trip is inclusive, regardless of need. Many students are uncertain about the career they wish to pursue, this event will assist in making decisions about post 18 possibilities.

 

• Tuesday 18th June 2024 – Year 12 Psychology Brain Day, at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe.

 

• Wednesday 19th June 2024 – Little Shop of Horrors Theatre Visit for Year 10 Drama students. At The Theatre Royal, Windsor: evening performance. 6:15 pm coach leaves eta return 10:30 pm at the Bobmore Lane entrance

 

• Wednesday 10th July 2024 – Geography Field Trip to Oxford, as part of their Geography GCSE course.
• Friday 4th October 2024 – Geography Field Trip to Swanage as part of their Geography GCSE course. To enable these trips to run smoothly it is vital that the MS consent form (via WisePay) is completed, by Tuesday 30^th April.

 

• Snowsports Trip 2025 – Year 8 students only. GMS is delighted that the uptake for this trip has been so positive. There is a waiting list for those not successful in the first ballot. A £200 deposit via WisePay is required for those offered a place; the deadline for this payment is Sunday 21st April 2024.
