Salary Range 5A, NJC Scales 22-25 (FTE for those scales being £29,439 to £32,020). The position is 88% of a Full Time Equivalent.

Actual pay would therefore be £25,906 to £28,178


There is a vacancy in our Student Support Team

Responsibilities will include:

  • having a close working relationship with Directors of Learning to improve the learning potential of students
  • removing barriers to learning by improving attitudes to learning for all students
  • removing barriers to learning through building respect for the Behaviour for Learning policy
  • ensuring effective communication with students, teachers, associate staff, leadership, parents and carers.
  • being familiar with the best professional bodies to approach when supporting students with challenging circumstances
  • supporting plans, targets and practices to promote the ethos and values of the school
  • developing activities that celebrate success
  • taking responsibility for assigned tasks in the day-to-day operation of the Student Support Team

We require an LSA to join our enthusiastic and committed team supporting children with Special Educational Needs throughout the school.

We are an oversubscribed school and the school of choice for many students with Special Educational Needs due to the excellent level of support and care provided.

The successful candidate will primarily be supporting students within lessons and will be expected to attend appropriate training offered by the school.

Experience of supporting students is advantageous but not compulsory as training will be provided.
