Music Competition

Partipants in the House Music Competition performed for their respective houses, students excelled in a variety of categories, performing solos or as part of an ensemble, playing a variety of different instruments. Whilst, each category winner earned House points, just as importantly, each participant earned valuable points for their House, making House Music very much a team event.

As is becoming the tradition, guest judges Mrs Bennett, Ms Beswick, Mr Bradley, Mr Day, Miss King, Mrs Legerton, Mrs Milne-Page, Mr Ouedraogo and Mrs Sanchez had the hugely challenging task of deciding a category winner for each category. Congratulations to all the musicians for a fantastic competition.

Category winners:

KS3 Ensemble = Ethan and Miles

KS4 Electric Guitar = Noah

KS4 Ensemble (Rock and Pop) = Hugo and Paul

KS4 Piano = Ivy

KS4 Voice = Jemima and Zac

KS4 Woodwind and Strings = Clara and Isobel

KS3 Voice = Miles

KS3 Piano = Zeph

KS3 Drum Kit and Guitar = Paul

KS4 Ensemble (Classical) = Clara and Ivy

The overall House Music standings:

1^st place = Kites
2^nd place = Hawks
3^rd place = Eagles
