Music Extra-Curricular

The GMS’s Music Department is delighted that it has a thriving extra-curricular music following, but is hoping that following will grow.

The students who follow an extra-curricular music timetable do have the opportunity to perform in numerous exciting musical opportunities. Coming up are these events:

• On Monday 25 March, the Chamber Choir is performing in the Buckinghamshire Choir of the Year finals. We wish the choir the very best of luck.
• Jazz Evening on 1st May: doors open at 6.30 for a 7 pm start in GMS’s Sixth Form Centre
• Cookham Festival, Young Musicians Concert on Saturday 11th May pm 
• Dorchester Abbey – the Chamber Choir Singers perform (Years 7-13). Arrival time 1 pm – estimated departure 3.30 pm.
• All Saints Church – Chamber Choir Singers perform (Years 7-13) on Sunday 16th June
• Performances at local primary schools

– Tutor time – String Ensemble (invite)

– Break 1 – Show Choir (all years)

– After school – Jazz Band (Y10-13)
