Literary Festival-4th March

The English Department is making plans for this year’s GMS’s Literary Festival, from 4th March to 8th March: it is building on the great success of last year.
The events for 2024 include:
  • Spelling Bee (separate breaktimes for Y7, Y8, Y9) with house captains
  • Master Classes on Literature Texts for Y11
  • World Book Day titles –  an exploration of the characterisation, setting and narrative of the books
  • Poetry by Heart Competition
  • Science Writers Competition
  • Form Time Quiz
  • World Book Day Dress Up (Y7 only)
 All students will be provided with a timetable of events via their form tutor.
 Many thanks to all the staff willing to give their time to make this festival hugely successful.
