Marlow Players & GMS
The Marlow Players amateur theatre group, formed in 1937, successfully performs and entertains the Marlow community with plays and ‘Murder Mystery’ evenings.
Recently, the GMS’s Drama Department had a successful collaborative meeting with members of The Marlow Players, who are now producing plays on GMS’s stage.
The first meeting was very positive, and there was a sense that, going forward, community collaboration will build, grow, and flourish. GMS’s Drama Department is particularly looking forward to participating in more community work, which will open opportunities for our talented young actors to audition with The Marlow Players.
Discussions are in the formative stage, but Mr Ross is looking forward to building this link to promote GMS’s young acting talent and foster an interest in local amateur theatre.
We thank The Marlow Players for giving GMS their time and hope it leads to an exciting community link, where skills and resources are shared.
