Judo Success

Two GMS students from the same family, Caitlyn and Josh Urie, have enjoyed Judo success.

Caitlyn won the London regional British schools qualifier competition, ensuring her place at the final in March where she’ll represent GMS for the final time. She showed her dominance as a GB ranked player, winning all her fights by Ippon in under 2 minutes each!

Josh, who competed at the Wingene Open, Belgium,  wasn’t to be out done by his sister! He won all his fights to bring home the Gold for his club. His coaches have praised him for his maturity both on and off the mat, during this first team trip abroad, setting him in good stead to travel with the England team in the near future.
