World Restart a Heart Day

GMS took part in the World Restart a Heart Day.  Organised by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), local Marlow Community First Responders, Adam Taylor (teacher at GMS) and Rob Jackson (former GMS pupil) helped to train nearly 100 students across all year groups.

The “basic life support” training included CPR and the use of a defibrillator.

This initiative is due to continue. So successful has been the initiative that a further 240 students have asked to be trained.

Whilst we all hope it will never be necessary, the training today may help save a life.
