On Tuesday 13th January forty-nine Year 8 Emerald and Ruby pupils went on a DT research trip to London Zoo.
The pupils carried out primary research to find inspiration to help them design their animal themed bags in textiles technology. During the day all pupils took the opportunity to sketch, draw and photograph a whole range of animals from tiny insects, butterflies and moths to the largest apes and tallest giraffes. A comprehensive range of information was collected on texture, pattern and shape, which will prove invaluable as they go on to design creatively.
All the pupils had fun, worked hard, and were impeccably behaved ambassadors for Great Marlow. They were a pleasure to take on the trip. Well done Year 8
