Meet the Author:Yr7

This summer, our new Year 7 students were given a reading book of their own to keep: The Chime Seekers by Ross Montgomery. This was generously funded by FoGMS in their support of the 7thR (Reading) at Great Marlow.  On Friday 15th, Ross Montgomery was live via Zoom to over 100 schools across the country talking about The Chime Seekers.  Our Year 7s had submitted questions prior to the event and we were lucky enough to have a school ‘shout out’ from Ross and an answer to the question:  “Why do the characters have to live in such an isolated place?” He explained that the mystery and intrigue of Hallow Fall draws people back into the mysterious faerie world.
Mr Montgomery also read some of the story to the students, which brought the characters to life from their creator.  This was a treat for staff and students.
