Fabulous A-level Results

At Great Marlow School we are delighted with the fantastic results achieved by our Year 13 students. They should all be incredibly proud of the grades they have achieved. For this cohort, the two years of A-level has been very challenging, yet our students have met that challenge with resilience and commitment. 

In total, 121 students were entered for Level 3 qualifications, with an impressive 15% of all grades awarded at A* or A; in addition 40% of all grades were awarded at A* to B;  70% of grades were at A*-C.

Kevin Ford, Headteacher, said, ‘I am incredibly proud of the students who have attained these fabulous results and the staff who supported them. Our students have been ambitious and a reservoir of resourcefulness and resilience has resulted in this set of outstanding results.’

Owen Hollyman, Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form said, ‘It gives me immense pleasure, and a huge sense of pride, to see the fruition of the students’ endeavour and resilience throughout their KS5 studies. Our students set themselves high personal goals in terms of the grades to which they aspired and the universities to which they set their sights on accessing.  It is wonderful to see so many of our Year 13 cohort being able to accept offers from such a wide range of institutions including Russell Group destinations. With the strong results that the Year 13 students have attained, the vast majority will be able to accept their first-choice university destinations or offers of employment.’
