Drama & Music: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

GMS’s Drama and Music Department are proud to announce that the 2022 Christmas Production is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

Following on from their very successful Peter Pan Production, the two departments are excited to be starting work on ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens.

The performances are scheduled for Wednesday 7th December and Thursday 8th December.

Student auditions will be held on the following dates, with the cast being announced on Monday 12th September.

· Wednesday 7th September from 3:15pm to 4:30pm (Main Casting)

· Thursday 8th September 3:15pm to 4:30pm (Smaller Roles and Call Backs)

To help aspiring students succeed in the auditions, Mr Ross is uploading the audition scripts in the Teams Form area before the summer holiday.

Please note these are open auditions. Also, the main role of Scrooge can be played by either a male or a female student. The GMS teams are experienced at conducting auditions and managing the expectations of students: inevitability some will be disappointed at not securing their favourite role, but there is an understanding that a production on this scale is very much a team effort, where every role is important.

As with all other productions, there must be a commitment to attend rehearsals. A schedule of dates will be given to cast members to check with their parents and carers before they accept any role.
