Careers’ Day Yr10

Mrs Wheeler, Director of Learning for Year 10, and Mrs Southon, the GMS’s Careers’ Officer have organised a virtual careers’ day for the students. The aim is to offer the cohort a chance to gain a better understanding of career options post-16 and to experience projects from a work-based environment.

Employers will work with students for the day: offering them information about job opportunities in their company; answering questions about their product and work-related roles;  and giving the chance to complete a real-life project that employees would be involved in. 

GMS believes it is essential that students consider different career options in Year 10, so they can begin to think about post 16 choices. Being made aware of the options available and what is required to achieve an end goal is important. 

As the event is virtual, students will be using their devices to complete the projects set by the companies.
