A-level Congratulations

Mr Ford writes in praise of the Sixth Form GMS students, who have just received their examination results.

“Congratulations to all students on their A-level and BTEC results that were published on Tuesday 10th August, these excellent outcomes have been achieved in the extraordinarily difficult circumstances of the past 18 months. The processes that were put in place to establish these grades at GMS were transparent, rigorous and fair: all our students should be incredibly proud of the grades they have achieved.

My staff and I wish each and every student success in pursuit of their post-18 choice. Many have opted for university, others are taking up prestigious apprenticeships, some have secured exciting employment opportunities.

A huge thank you is sent to this Year 13 cohort, who made a significant contribution to the cultural and social life of the school. Their parents and carers are also thanked for the way in which they contributed to the life and work of the school over very many years.

Finally, I would like to thank all the staff at the school, as these results are a testament to their dedication, hard work and integrity.”
