GMS Postponed Events

In order to support the ‘delay’ approach of the Government to the spread of the virus, we have taken the decision to postpone a number of scheduled school activities, to reduce the risk of students, parents, carers and staff contracting and spreading the Coronavirus. Therefore, the following activities have been postponed: with the view to rescheduling them later in the academic year, where possible.

Tuesday 17th March – Year 11 Information Evening (The presentation that would have been shown will be emailed to all Year 11 parents and carers)

Tuesday 17th March – All Peter Pan rehearsals cancelled until further notice.

Wednesday 18th March – 6th Form External Applicants Open Morning

Year 8 Music Trip to Wicked (Further information to follow)

Thursday 19th March – Year 9 Parents’ Evening

Tuesday 24th March – Year 11 Music Performance

Wednesday 25th March – Year 10 Parents’ Evening

Thursday 26th March – Eco Conference

In addition, there will be no inter-school fixtures or competitions taking place from Tuesday 17th March 2020, on or off site, until further notice.

However, all sporting clubs and activities on-site will continue for the present. Any further postponements of school activities will be communicated, as necessary, and in a timely manner.
