Fantastic GCSE Results Celebrated

A set of outstanding GCSE results have been achieved by the students of Great Marlow School. Students performed extremely well across all subjects, over 70% of all results awarded were at Grades 9-4, with almost 60% of them at Grades 9-5. The performance of the students in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science was very pleasing with English leading the way: 88% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above, with 70% of the cohort achieving a Grade 5 or above in English Language and/or Literature.

Mr Kevin Ford, Headteacher, said, ‘We are delighted with these fantastic results. The students in this year group have worked incredibly hard to achieve what they have today. The students have been very ably supported by their highly skilled teachers, and dedicated parents and carers; it is this collaborative approach that has enabled the successes of today. I am particularly pleased to see significant numbers of students, in a range of subjects, achieving Grades 9-7: over 20% of all results were awarded these top grades. This clearly demonstrates that Great Marlow School, enables students of all ability profiles to reach their full potential.’
