Gymnastic Success for GMS Student

To be a gymnast, able to compete in national competitions, requires strength, endurance and stamina alongside a healthy diet. GMS is proud of Chloe Britnell, who has embraced all these things to become a gymnast who competes on the national stage.  Training at Wycombe Gymnastics Academy requires hard work and dedication, it requires between 24-27 hours training every week. GMS congratulates her for the diligence she exhibits.

Recently, she competed against other gymnasts in the Gold Level English Championships in Leicester finishing 5th overall: 3rd on the floor routine, 4th on the vault, 5th on the beam and 7th on the bars: a result to be thrilled about.

Chloe continues to train 24-27 hours a week and today competed in her second national competition in the last few weeks. In the Gold Level at the English Championships in Leicester, Chloe finished 5th coming 3rd on floor, 4th on vault, 5th on beam and 7th on bars.

This success followed her success in the Quatro Cup in Wiltshire last month, when she was part of a team that won Gold. Her own personal achievement placed her 8th in the rankings, very good indeed for such a prestigious competition.

The last few exciting few weeks included our lucky student meeting her idol, Kelly Simm, GB Gymnast, who has battled on despite a major back injury, like Chloe, to become British Champion.

More competitions are on the horizon; in two weeks time she competes in her Club Championship; in mid December she competes in the Bucks County Three Piece Competition in Milton Keynes.  GMS wish her every success.

Chloe’s family and the whole GMS community are proud of Chloe’s achievements and admire the dedication she gives to a sport she clearly has a talent in. We wish her ongoing success in 2019.
