Head Girl & Head Boy 2019/20

 The Sixth Form Team received well over forty application letters for these positions and each one was read with great interest and pleasure by Mr Hollyman, Miss Jones and Mrs Evans. They would like to point out the fantastic array of skills and interests that were exhibited by all of the applicants, and give credit to the clarity and confidence with which the students conveyed their thoughts. It was agreed by all interviewers that the consistently high quality of the applicants’ letters were the best that had been submitted in recent years.

 Eventually, the field was narrowed down to five boys and eight girls, whose letters stood out for a variety of reasons. Each student was given a fifteen minute, panel interview designed to develop the ideas that had been mentioned in their application letters.

 After an extremely long day of interviews and extensive deliberation by the Sixth Form Team, a decision was reached.

 GMS would like to congratulate Jacob Wratten on being selected as Head Boy and Helen Windsor as Head Girl. Their deputies are Toby Holden and Millie Bogie. These students were excellent in all respects and we know that they will perform their duties to the highest degree.

 The standard of all the interviewees was exceptional and each student was able to showcase their compassion, leadership, resilience and ideas alongside confidence and eloquence in an interview situation. GMS is very proud of all the students who applied and who were prepared to offer their time to give something back to the school community. The school look forward to them demonstrating these skills in their roles over the next year as part of the Senior Prefect Team.
