Online Progress Reports

Following the announcement at the end of last year that GMS would not be renewing SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG), the school has been searching for a suitable alternative. A better product has now been found and purchased: it is, in our view, more user friendly.

The new software is a Groupcall product called Emerge. Much research has led GMS to believe that Emerge ticks all the right boxes going forward. Importantly, the new product offers more than just SIMS reporting; for example, it allows us to combine ParentMail and ParentPay under one product line, making it much easier to manage for everyone. This will however be a phased transition and something we will not be doing right away.

The IT team are working hard to install and setup the new software over the Easter break with a view to having it ready for staff, parents and carers to start using soon after.
