Barcelona Trip

On the 19th October 2017, 40 Year 8 and Year 9 students alongside four teachers got up early to go to Gatwick airport to catch their flight to Barcelona. We would stay until the 22nd October, four days full of exciting visits and learning opportunities. The places we went to included the Barcelona F1 circuit, the Torres vineyard, Port Aventura, the city centre and the Sagrada Familia.

One evening we had a go at a Spanish dance workshop. This was so much fun and definitely something I would try again! We had a great dance teacher who made it easy to learn the steps and we had a great routine at the end. This all happened in the room where we had our evening meals, a room off a restaurant situated on the site we were staying in our chalets. Here we were served our three course meal every night and our breakfast every morning where we savoured a taste of Spanish culture e.g. paella, Spanish omelet and churros.

Overall, this was an amazing trip, which I am lucky to have got a place on. I could practice my Spanish in real life situations and had a great cultural experience. The trip was a constant test of my Spanish linguistic skills and has really helped me.
