GCSE Results are Celebrated at GMS

Another set of outstanding GCSE results have been achieved by the students of Great Marlow School.  70% of the cohort achieved 5+A*-C or equivalent in subjects including Mathematics and English, which are now reformed and graded 9-1. A pleasing 80% students achieved a Grade 4 or above.

Mr Kevin Ford, Headteacher, said, ‘We are delighted with these fantastic results, which with a few more details to be finalised, look like being our best set of GCSE results ever.  This, in the context of the reformed GCSE English and Mathematics, led to some uncertainty. This uncertainty has been managed extremely well here, at Great Marlow, by the students and teachers, ensuring all students have been able to fulfil their potential.  We are particularly pleased with the performance of the students at the higher grades, with significant numbers achieving Grade 8 and Grade 9 in English and Mathematics.  In the other subjects, almost a quarter of the cohort have achieved three or more grades at A*-A.’
