FoGMS: From Quiz to Theatre
A BIG thank you to all who supported the brilliant quiz night on 25 Feb. The event was a sell out with 126 people filling the 6th Form block. Tim Ashburner was our quiz master and provided a high tech, fast paced quiz set to test the best brains in Marlow. Prizes were awarded to “Where’s Ian” Team, who were overall winners of the quiz and also to “The Mad Hatters” team for the best decorated table. An incredible £1500 was raised that night!
Our next big event is on Sunday 19 March at 7pm when The Pantaloons will be on the stage performing “Pride and Prejudice”. They are a unique theatre group who draw from a wide variety of popular theatre traditions, from commedia dell’arte and pantomime, to stand-up comedy and silent movies, to bring what they consider to be a vital sense of “play” back to classical performance. Their sense of fun will appeal to an audience of all ages!
The performance will take place on GMS’s very own stage on Sunday 19 March at 7pm. This is a great family event.
