Tirabad 2016

On Friday 5^th February, 47 Year 8 students headed out to Tirabad, Wales for a week of outdoor adventure activities.

The students were accompanied by Mr Ross, Mr Bateman and Miss Bevan.

On the first full day, all 47 students headed out together  on a Forest Adventure Walk and welcomed the arrival of Mr Payne. Despite the rain, the students kept up their enthusiasm for the entire day: walking through mud swamps up to their waists, jumping in puddles and doing their best to splash every teacher they came across.

For the rest of the week the students were split into four groups and took on the challenging activities in rotation.

These activities consisted of gorge scrambling, mountain walking, caving and SPY MISSION – although, what happens on SPY MISSION, stays on SPY MISSION.

On the final evening, the students all shared their fondest moments of the trip through a variety of performances. The students were a credit to the school throughout the week; it was a pleasure to see the performances and how much the students had gained from the whole experience.
