Vivo Miles

Following a careful review of our Rewards Policy with students and staff, and listening to feedback from parents, Great Marlow School is delighted to announce the launch of a new rewards system, Vivo Miles!

 

Vivo Miles allows teachers to award students electronic points called “Vivos”. Students collect their reward from a customised online catalogue. At present, the catalogue offers a wide range of items, from stationery and key rings to gaming console accessories. Alternatively, a student can  donate their rewards to charities.

The system empowers staff to reward students frequently and consistently, while also giving students the power to control their reward budgets. It encourages saving and increases motivation, instilling a link between hard work and reward.

A significant benefit of Vivo Miles is that parental engagement is welcomed and encouraged.  In the coming weeks, all parents and carers will receive their own personal login to the system: this will enable them to track on line the rewards being given to their son or daughter, the reasons, and by which teachers. Great Marlow hopes that the reward system will generate  far greater parental involvement in school life.

Over the coming months, the reward categories will be expanded and the shop developed with the help of the Student Council. Suggestions and ideas from the entire student body will be collated and used to inform the company about the rewards our students have requested. Just as importantly, the student council members will discuss the way Vivo Miles can be used to promote more than just academic achievement.
