London Trip

The D&T Department were delighted to whisk 180 excited students off to enjoy a creative day around London.  The focus was a primary research trip to engage our young designers in discovering Great British design styles in the capital, within the context of the real world. We visited the Design Museum in South Kensington, where students were taken on a tour around the museum and learned all about Smart and Modern Materials in a bespoke workshop.

Following this students and staff all boarded a vintage London Route Master bus and toured the vibrant, exciting sites of London including Buckingham Palace, the changing of the Queen’s Horse Guard Parade, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye.

What a wonderful experience for GMS students. The school thanks DT Department for all the organisational work that went on behind the scenes to make the event such a success.
