Sewing Bee Textiles Club

The Textiles Department is running an exciting new club called The Sewing Bee. It is being offered to Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 students, with Year 7 being first to enrol. GMS urge students to sign up quickly to avoid disappointment. This will be a perfect way to build an understanding and love of working with fabric.

The club will run on a Tuesday afternoon, starting on Tuesday 7th November. To complete a garment in time for the Fashion Show in March, the students have to commit to attending every Tuesday, (with the exception of 14^th November), after school from 3 pm to 4.15 pm: therefore, please note, individuals have to make a their own arrangement for a lift home.

The course is due to run until the Easter holidays (Tuesday 27th March 2018) with the intention of exhibiting the finished article at the annual Textiles Fashion Show on Wednesday 28th March.

In order to provide appropriate resources, we are asking for a contribution of £10 for the course. This will provide all materials required. Payments should be made through ParentPay.
