Music Exam Success for Yr7 & 8s

The recent summer 2022 exam series continued to highlight the exceptional musical talent of students at Great Marlow School. After a busy final term in the Music Department, students from Year 7 and Year 8 also entered graded exams and passed with huge success.

– Luke (Year 7, saxophone, passed grade 2 with merit)

– Lyra (Year 8, saxophone, passed grade 2 with distinction)

– Marc (Year 8, piano, passed grade 4).

The students were overjoyed with their exam results (and deservedly so). Each of the musicians said that they are now ready to start learning new repertoire; Lyra said that she had started practising for Grade 3 already! Mr Kidd, Head of Music, said that, “The students should be very proud of their exam results, that taking high graded exams and passing with outstanding marks is testament to their dedication and passion for their instrument. A special thanks must also go to A. Farquhar and A. Downie for their continued support and guidance for their students.”
