Year 12 Enrolment Information

Internal Enrolment (GMS students)

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND ENROLMENT IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN APPOINTMENT

Great Marlow School students from Year 11 who wish to enrol into the 6th Form will be able to do so in person, via an appointment on Thursday August 12th and Friday 13th August. You should already have received details of this appointment.

However, if Covid restrictions prevent a live appointment taking place, we will look to see if we can conduct appointments via Teams.

We hope that we can run the day with face-to-face meetings, but we must ensure that we follow any guidelines that the government provide us with. We will alert you to any changes to appointment arrangements if necessary. Please check the school website carefully for any updates.

We ask that, if you are enrolling with us, only one adult parent or carer accompanies you for your appointment. We will ensure that there is capacity for a socially distanced discussion with staff members.

• Appointments are scheduled to run for 15 minutes, starting at 9am
• Please remember that all students will need to meet entry criteria for the courses to which they apply
• It is essential that you have read the 6th Form prospectus in advance which can be found on the school website under the 6th Form menu
• If GMS students do not meet the criteria for one or more of their chosen courses, we may have to delay a decision until Friday 13th August, or not allow students to access that course

If attending the 6th Form at Great Marlow School is no longer part of your plans and you no longer wish to have an enrolment appointment, please could you inform me via email (ohollyman@gms.bucks.sch.uk), as soon as you are able.

External Enrolment – Friday 13th August

Students from other schools are invited to Year 12 Enrolment from 9am on Friday 13th August.
There will also be some appointments available on Monday 16th August. Please email ajones@gms.bucks.sch.uk if you would like to attend on this day.

• Please do not attend enrolment if your GCSE grades do not meet the entry requirements.

We have prioritised places for students currently at Great Marlow School. If you do meet entry requirements, there is still no guarantee that we will be able to offer you all of your subject choices, based on class numbers.
