Key Stage 4
The GCSE examinations are starting this week. GMS wish all the Year 11s the very best of luck as they enter the examinations’ season for real.
Until half term, students are expected to be in school full time: teachers have planned important lessons to ensure all candidates are as fully prepared as possible. To set the right tone, GMS insist that all students dress in full school uniform, including the correct footwear. At an assembly last week they were told they would not be allowed into the examination hall incorrectly attired.
It is very important that candidates bring the correct equipment for each and every examination, in order to maximise success.
The highlight for the Year 11s is “The Prom”. This year this will be held at Adams Park on Friday 22nd June from 6:30 (for 7 pm start) until 10:30 pm. All students have been issued with invitations and prom passports.
For those assured a place, tickets can be purchased via Parentpay for £26. The price includes a welcome drink, buffet, photo booth, security and the decorated venue. As in previous years, this promises to be a wonderful event designed to celebrate the five year journey of the Year 11 students at GMS.
