KS4 and KS5 Music Recital

On Tuesday 21st March the Music Department held their annual KS4 and KS5 Music Recital. This is a concert that gives students, in the upper years of the school, a chance to showcase their musical talent.
The evening started with a very musical performance from Mia Elton, James Ashburner, Sophie Smyth and Jasmine Kisbee who performed Adele’s Love in the Dark.
Other Highlights included Mia Agar rocking out to Wrong Song from Nashville, Heather McCavoy’s own take on The One That I Want, in tribute to the recent musical Grease the school performed last December, and Corrine Fishers fantastic piano performance of Maple Leaf Rag, which transformed the Great Marlow School Hall into a 1890s Missourian tavern: everyone tapped along to the ragtime beat.
The evening finished with, what could potentially be, the Year 13s’ final performance as Great Marlow Students, and boy was it a good one. Will Cunningham, Joe Miller and Sam Money were helped out by Year 12 Jamie-Jack Westfold to create a superbly energetic performance of Walking On Sunshine with a Ska twist, the performance had everyone in the hall bopping along; it was a really great way to finish a excellent evening of music.
