Careers Fair

On Friday 10 February, Great Marlow School hosted the annual Careers Fair in the 6th Form Centre and Main Hall.

The event gave all students from Year 9 to 13 the opportunity to meet, discuss and gather information from experts in a variety of careers, higher education institutions and apprenticeship providers.

Twenty five exhibitors were kind enough to volunteer their services for the day. The contributors were invited, mostly, from the local business community, and the careers they represented included the armed services, journalism, accountancy, hotel and catering, solicitors and childcare.

The contributors were very complimentary about the politeness and positivity of the students and were impressed with the type of questions posed to them. Hopefully, some students may now feel informed and empowered to think about the steps they need to take towards achieving their career after compulsory education.

A huge thank you must go to all the exhibitors who gave up their time to attend the GMS Careers Fair. In addition, the contribution from the members of the Marlow Chamber of Commerce was invaluable and their willingness to involve themselves in community matters is much appreciated.
