Eco-Warriors attend Marlow Round Table

This evening four amazing Eco Warriors namely Ralph Hill, Arran Bligh, Christian Parker and Saorise O’Concor attended a meeting with Marlow Round Table in a bid to secure funding for our greatly anticipated pond project.

The students represented the school, delivering to the assembled board members a pitch to develop GMS’s pond area. The students used slides to present their ideas for this important area of the school. The students explained what had already been done before outlining their hopes and ambitions for the area, which align with the school’s Eco-drive incentives.

Whilst Miss Addy went in with a modest request for £700, the students explained a greater amount of money was required to fund the lining, the labour, and horticulture requirements. Their skills at presentation meant they walked away with an amazing £1,500, which will allow the project to kick start after the May half term.

GMS is proud of the students, who were respectful, well-mannered and an absolute credit to themselves and Great Marlow, leaving Miss Addy and their parents beaming with pride. Afterwards, Ralph, Arran, Christian and Saorise were invited back into the meeting where they were presented with a cheque, in exchange for big smiles!
