The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund is additional funding provided for schools, firstly in 2020-2021 and now for the academic year 2021-2022 for schools, colleges and other 16-19 institutions to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID19).
- Academic Year 2020-2021 – Great Marlow School received £4,474
- Academic Year 2021-2022 – Great Marlow School will receive £3,576
The funding is to support small group tuition for students aged 16 to 19 in English, maths and other subjects that have been disrupted including vocational and/or academic learning.
All students will be on a 16-19 study programme and the funding will be used to support tuition activity above and beyond the programmes of education already planned. It is for students who:
- have not achieved a grade 4 or 5 in English and/or maths
- have a grade 4 or above in English and/or maths, are from an economically disadvantaged background and would need catch up support.
This funding will be used to support small group tuition for up to 5 students, in exceptional circumstances this may be extended to up to 7 students and the funding will be used to support tuition costs only. Tuition and additional support may be delivered using a blend of online and in-school delivery.
