Snow White Pantomime Trip

Mr Ross writes about a recent Pantomime Trip to Aylesbury Waterside to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. It was organised for students who were involved with GMS’s Christmas Matilda the Musical production.

“All those fortunate to secure a place on the trip were in the mood for fun: students and staff alike. Even on the coach journey much voice was given to Christmas songs, some were even in tune. In truth, once the singing became very loud, I wondered if encouraging this sing-song had been a good idea!

Of course, once in the theatre, treats for the performance were purchased in readiness for the fun about to unfold in the auditorium.

A pantomime is only a pantomime if people join in, and our students certainly did! Singing along when required and responding very loudly with the usual catch-phrases when expected. The biggest cheer, however, was when Muddles (an actor) mentioned our school and wished us luck for our upcoming production of Matilda.

A quieter coach trip home completed a very successful trip. I want to thank Mrs Bird, Mrs Black Mrs Sharp and Mrs Samaras for accompanying the students on this trip, especially as it was on a Friday Night.”
