Publication Of Latest Ofsted Report

As you are aware Great Marlow School (GMS) was inspected by Ofsted on the 9th and 10th November, the report attached is an excellent report and captures some of the fantastic work of our school and ultimately, the outcome in Ofsted gradings is that GMS remains a ‘Good’ school. As some of you will be aware, until we received the final report which we did yesterday, we had to keep the inspection findings confidential.

In the feedback session to the GMS Trustees (Governors), Leadership Team and Buckinghamshire Council at the end of the final day of the inspection, the lead inspector explained that the spectrum of ‘Good’ schools is very broad. He took the time to make clear in the feedback that GMS was a school that was at the very top end of good.

The lead inspector, also, commented very positively on the phenomenal feedback from you, our parents/ carers, and in particular on the time that you had taken to write in detail, commending the work of the school. As I have said, in many presentations, since our previous inspection of 2017, the views of Ofsted are important, but the views of our parents/ carers are far more important.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of our school community for their continued support, excellent work and partnership that enables Great Marlow School to continue to go from strength to strength.
