Fantastic A-levels

130 students were entered for Level 3 qualifications, with an impressive 40% of all grades awarded at A* to B.  In addition, 70% of grades were at A*-C.

Kevin Ford, Executive Headteacher, said, ‘I am incredibly proud of the students who have attained these fabulous results and the staff who supported them. Our students have been ambitious and a  reservoir of resourcefulness and resilience has resulted in this set of outstanding results.’

Owen Hollyman, Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, said, ‘It gives me immense pleasure, and a huge sense of pride, to see the fruition of the students’ endeavour and resilience throughout their KS5 studies. Our students set themselves high personal goals in terms of the grades to which they aspired and the universities to which they set their sights on accessing.  It is wonderful to see so many of our Year 13 cohort being able to accept offers from such a wide range of institutions including Russell Group destinations. With the strong results that the Year 13 students have attained, the vast majority will be able to accept their first-choice university destinations or offers of apprenticeships or employment.’

Kevin Ford said, ‘I would also like to take this opportunity to also thank the parents and carers of this cohort for their consistent support of their children and the school, without which these results would not have been possible.  Working in partnership is the only way to achieve such excellent results.’
