Our students have been announced as winners in the Flash Fiction Writing Competition organised by the Marlow Literary Festival. The title: Green New World, excited competitors, as the topic was the environment. In fewer than 250 words, entrants had to write a poem, song or script on the subject of Geen New World.
Now, the ‘talented’ winners have been announced and the cash prizes for them will be handed out in a presentation ceremony on 17th June.
In the KS4/5 category, congratulations go to Tayla Brown in FIRST place; Matthew Parks in SECOND place and Nicole Borkowska in THIRD place. A clean sweep to GMS’s entrants.
In the KS3 category, congratulations to Tristan Heath in SECOND place and Anabel Clayton in THIRD place.
All prize winners are invited to read out their pieces at the festival, or have them read out by another person. Just as importantly, there will also be an opportunity to hear the winning compositions on the Arts Club programme on Marlow FM.
