Young Fashion Designer Competition 

The Textile Department are delighted with the number and superb quality of the entries for the Young Fashion Designers’ Competition.

The Young Fashion Designer UK is an exciting national competition that focuses on enhancing the talent of students to showcase and promote exceptional work. As young designers, they were tasked with thinking about how designs have an impact on the environment.

GMS students were given the brief to research a page on sustainable fashion, collect pattern images, source fabric swatches and create a four-outfit design: all with a focus on improving the environment.

Well done to everyone who entered and we look forward to knowing who the winners are.
