U18 Hockey Semi-Final

The U18 Girls’ Hockey Team has qualified for the semi-final of the National Cup. The game is taking place against Pangbourne on Friday 27^th January at GMS and has a 3.30 pm start time.

This is the first time a GMS team has progressed this far in an outdoor competition, so it would be great to give them some proper support on the 27th. If they win, the girls will qualify for our second National Final in two years, which would be an unbelievable achievement.

For the Year 13 students, this could be their last competitive GMS fixture (unless they win obviously!). So for those of you who have never seen them play, but have been following their achievements over the years, this would be a great opportunity to see them in action. They’ve missed a fair few lessons over the years, which we are very grateful for, but this achievement has been a long time coming, and I hope you’ll agree when you come and watch them that it’s been worth it.
