Yr7 Activity Days 2022

In the autumn term of Year 7, all our new intake and their form tutors are invited to participate in a team-building activity day at Westhorpe Farm in Little Marlow. Every year this event proves to be an exciting and popular addition to the school calendar. The Activity Days are run by ‘Operation Encounter’ and are delivered to all Year 7 students in their Houses over three separate days.

Despite being mid-October, the weather was kind, and everyone enjoyed days of warm sunshine. The activities delivered, by the activity leaders at Operation Encounter, were raft-building, crate-stacking and archery tag: all activities were designed to develop communication, team and leadership skills.

The excited students had all been looking forward to a fantastic opportunity to know each other and their form tutors better, away from the school environment. During every activity day, our Year 7 pupils enthusiastically involved themselves in every task. The activity leaders were impressed by both their behaviour and their eagerness to participate in the various challenges.

A great start to Year 7 and a day all students (and staff!) involved will remember as a fun and exciting experience, marking the beginning of their time at Great Marlow School.
