Eggscellent English Easter Competition

The English Department are thrilled to introduce their Easter Eggcellent Egg Character Competition.

The task is both simple and complex. Students and staff are challenged to plan, decorate and submit an egg that shows a literary character from a book that has been read.  There are so many fabulous characters to choose from – just think how many books there are.

The prize is egg-related – which is quite right.

To be in the frame for the prize, hatch a plan, hollow out an egg, choose a literary character, give the egg the characteristics of the literary character, name the egg, and finally, submit for the possibility of winning the prize.

What’s in a name? How creative can a name be?

The English Department is EGGspecting some great made-up names: perhaps something to match, or excel, the name HEGGwig from Harry Potter.
