The 60 minute Challenge is undertaken by students from across the world; it is formulated to encourage “mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems”.
So, the problems on the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge make students think: most questions are accessible, yet they challenge those with mathematical ability and experience.
