As part of GMS’s new Eco-drive, the Eco-warriors and KS3 have united in a project to plant a hundred daffodils in support of Mental Health Awareness week.
On 11th October, the students started on the project.
Why daffodils?
The colour yellow symbolises laughter, hope and sunshine. Daffodils were also recognised by William Wordsworth as a symbol of new beginnings.
From October 11th, two students from every tutor group joined the Eco Warriors to plant daffodil bulbs, ensuring that this became a truly school-wide project.
