Lottie Porter is immersed in the game of hockey, not only does she teach it at GMS, but she is a vital team member of the high achieving Buckingham side.
In the recent National Indoor Champion event, Buckingham beat East Grinstead, to lift the Jaffa Super 6s title and earn a place, for the first time, in the upcoming European club competition.
The final was a tight match, the final score being 4-3. Jubilation on the pitch and among te supporters; it was the club’s finest hour and greatest day, thus far. The team may never have expected to reach the finals, but there was a sense, going into the competition, that they were capable enough.
Buckingham were runners-up in 2019, now they have moved up a notch in their indoor success.
Outdoors, they are working towards the league play-off finals. The players attribute their success to a cohesive, positive, aspiring team and to their coach, who believes they have the potential to reach for the stars. GMS are proud that one of our number is a member of this winning team; she is an inspiration to students.
