Prize Winning Young Enterprise Yr 12

At Wycombe High School, 10 GMS Business students attended a introduction evening, on 9th October. They participated in a business simulation game, the aim of which was to make as much profit as possible.

The simulation was based on selling decorative candles at events. Part of the stimulation challenged the students to interpret market research data, in order to decide on key elements of their business model. They had to decide the make-up of the target market; how many products should be made; and at what price they should be sold. The group of 10 won a prize for being most improved team, which was excellent, as it meant that as the game went on they reflected on what had happened, learned from mistakes and were resiliant. This was particularly pleasing as they were competing against many private and grammar schools from the local area.

Next up for the team is preparation for the Xmas Events, including attending the Marlow Late Night Shopping Event.
