Operation Sceptre

This coming week, Thames Valley Police are taking part in National Knife Crime Awareness week commencing Monday 16th September and running up to Sunday 22nd September 2019.

Operation Sceptre is a national police operation to actively target knife crime and those who carry knives. Thames Valley Police have committed to a week of raising awareness of the danger of knife crime by engaging with affected communities.

The police are very conscious that there is a national increase in knife crime across the UK, which is why every  force in England and Wales have joined Operation Sceptre, for one week from 16th September 2019.

Operation Sceptre has already seen strong results and continues to grow in influence, with more knife sweeps, more checks on retailers and ultimately more dangerous weapons taken off the streets, which saves lives.

Further information and advice can be found on social media, including on Twitter TVP_Wycombe.

If any readers have any information about the possession of knives or criminal activity relating to this type of crime, please report online via the Wycombe Police website, or call 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
