Vaccination in Secondary Schools

The Buckinghamshire School’s Immunisation Team, part of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, has informed parents and carers that there is to be change in the delivery of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination in all secondary schools.
The childhood immunisation schedule is changing in the way it’s delivered from September 2019. From that date the HPV vaccine will be offered to both girls and boys in Year 8; the two immunisations required will be given one year apart.
Parents and carers will receive a link to information and the online consent form one term before the vaccine is due.
