DoE Bronze/Silver Information Evening

A Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Information Evening is being held at GMS on Wednesday 10th October 2018.  Matt Couling from Inspired Expeditions will present to the parents and carers of Year 9 from 6 pm to 7 pm, in the main hall.

The Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award Information Evening is scheduled to begin at 7 pm for an hour, until 8 pm. It follows on directly from the one for the Bronze Award. Matt Couling from Inspired Expeditions will present to the parents and carers of Year 10. Please be aware that students can join the Silver Award scheme even if they did not participate in the Bronze Award that took place in Year 9.

There are so many unique experiences and rewards for young people who take part in the award. GMS promotes Duke of Edinburgh because the skills and personal attributes demanded by the award are are recognised by employers, colleges and universities.

GMS is grateful to all the work and effort Ms Helen Murray does for the benefit of our students. She leads the Duke of Edinburgh initiative in a professional way. She is looking forward to welcoming students, parents and carers on the 10th October in the main hall.
