Yr 7 Swimming Scheme

GMS wish Year 7 parents and carers to know there are a few places left for the September 2018 Swimming Scheme. It begins the first week after the October half term at Wycombe Sports Centre. The lessons are aimed at Year 7s who are non-swimmers, or very weak swimmers. Students involved leave school by minibus every Monday at 9.30am and are back at school at break time (11 am).

GMS offers a wide range of extra-curricular trips and activities, many of which involve students being on, or near water, which is why the school offers this essential life skill. It is important to the school that all extra-curricular activities are accessible to all students.

Wycombe Sports Centre provide the instructors to run the half hour lessons. The maximum cost per lesson is £3 (the price depends on how many students participate).

Tutors are informed about any students participating in swimming lessons and students will be expected to catch up on any work missed, or homework set.
